This 1 day workshop, taught by Cate Barlow with Rebecca Kelson assisting, and hosted in collaboration with 'Foodie Friends' who will be supplying a delicious morning sweet treat and sit down lunch, is to be held at Bishop’s Lodge Historic House, Hay, NSW.
It promises to be a fun & special day out, consisting of an insight into the world of hand printing. Cate will demonstrate various block printing techniques such as wood block printing, potato printing, lino printing, & foam block printing, on differing surfaces including fabric, paper & hard surfaces like walls. With a hands on approach, participants will have the opportunity to create their own designs, make their own blocks, & practice these techniques. After a some practice time in the morning and a delicious lunch, guests will complete their own original printed project in the afternoon with Cate and Bec's guidance.
All materials used on the day will be supplied as part of the cost of the workshop, along with refreshments on arrival and a delicious lunch prepared by our friends, local Hay caterers 'Foodie Friends'.
Guests will go home equipped with new knowledge and skills, their finished printed project, along with Cate's own written instruction sheets, and a generous bag of gifts including tools to support their ongoing creativity in printing, plus other little surprises to keep.
